REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum qualification of a B Eng/BSc Eng degree. A degree in chemical, electronic, mechatronic or electrical discipline would be preferred.
  • Certified as a Functional Safety Professional will be an advantage.
  • At least 7 years’ experience as a Control and Instrumentation Engineer in the petro-chemical environment.
  • Be able to work independently and in a team, self-starter, good interpersonal relations, hands-on experience or proper exposure to the implementation of own designs. Candidates to demonstrate their abilities by means of examples.
  • First-hand experience of driving to get tasks done. Be able to share by means of examples.
  • Good interpersonal relations with the ability to market services
  • Good report writing skills in the English language.
  • Organized and self-disciplined.
  • Successful in conducting business in all aspects mentioned below.
  • Valid driver’s license with own transport (Code B / EB).

WORK DESCRIPTION:

Handling technical and engineering challenges that may arise from instrumentation field work being carried out. Drafting of technical specifications for procurement of services and equipment from suppliers. Managing the workload, resource loading, client relations, profitability and quality of work produced in the group.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of B.Eng qualification in Mechanical, Chemical or Control Systems Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Project management qualification will be an advantage.
  • Engineers with 4 – 8 years’ experience, preferably with multi-discipline project or engineering exposure in the Chemical, Petrochemical and Energy industry.
  • Experience working/contracting with Sasol will be an advantage.
  • Experience in typical contracting formats (NEC 3 preferred)
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Valid Code B/EB driver’s license.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsibility of managing multi-disciplinary projects assigned to him for the full life cycle of the project, which could include Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning.
  • Compile Quotations and Tenders for prospective work.
  • Develop project execution plans in line with contract requirements.
  • Develop and review overall Quality management/Control plans for projects.
  • Manage cash flow and project budget.
  • Identify and appoint all resources (including sub-contracted services) for each project.
  • Ensure coordination of all resources and functions to meet contract obligations.
  • Project Schedule Management.
  • Project Risk Management.
  • Project Quality and Safety Management during execution.
  • Follow Business Management System.
  • The effective use of MS Projects and other software systems which may be required.
  • Maintain good relationships with colleagues and clients.

  • Minimum of B Eng degree in Civil Engineering with minimum 2 years’ experience, preferably in the petrochemical arena.
  • Registration with ECSA as Professional Engineer will be supported by MegChem.
  • Experience in detail engineering on small to medium size projects with exposure to all other engineering disciplines.
  • Experience in detail design and engineering of civil structures with hands-on experience or proper exposure to the construction of own designs. Candidates to demonstrate their abilities by means of examples.
  • First-hand experience of driving to get tasks done. Be able to share by means of examples.
  • Leadership and organizational skills, be able to work independently and in a team, self-starter, “go-getter”.
  • Good interpersonal relations with the ability to market services.
  • Good report writing skills in the English language.

WORK DESCRIPTION:

Managing of Civil engineering and construction contractors. Preparation of works information and RFQ’s for projects. Performing detail civil design of smaller projects as and when practical within the workload.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of NQF4 Measurement, Control and Instrumentation or National Diploma Electronic Engineering.
  • 5-10 years’ experience as an Instrumentation Technician/Designer in the petrochemical environment will be an advantage.
  • Be able to work as part of a larger team to achieve deadlines and the required work quality.
  • Knowledge of SmartPlant Intools, Auto Cad or similar experience will be an advantage.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Be able to work independently and in a team, self-starter.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Be able to work under pressure.
  • Valid driver’s license with own transport (Code B/EB).

WORK DESCRIPTION:

The work will require as-building of instrumentation information on datasheets and loop drawings. This will entail doing redlines of the documents and then updating the documents on SmartPlant INTools.
