PIPING DESIGN DRAFTSMAN

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum Grade 12 with Maths and Engineering Graphics and Design and/or National Engineering Diploma or Apprenticeship.
  • Minimum 4-7 years’ applicable experience in petrochemical piping drafting.
  • Knowledge of AutoCad and 3D Modelling – preferably Cadworx will be an advantage.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Leadership and organizational skills, be able to work independently and in a team, self-starter.
  • Good communcation skills.
  • Be able to work under pressure.
  • Valid driver’s license with own transport (Code B / EB).

PRINCIPAL PIPING ENGINEER

PRINCIPAL PIPING ENGINEER

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of B.Eng (Mechanical) or B.Tech (Mechanical) degree.
  • At least 5-7 years’ applicable experience.
  • Experience as Piping Engineer and registration as a Professional Engineer (ECSA)
  • Be able to work independently and in a team, self-starter, good interpersonal relations, hands-on experience or proper exposure to the implementation of own designs. Candidates to demonstrate their abilities by means of examples.
  • First-hand experience of driving to get tasks done. Be able to share by means of examples.
  • Good interpersonal relations with the ability to market services.
  • Good report writing skills in the English language.
  • Organized and self-disciplined.
  • Successful in conducting business in all aspects mentioned below.
  • Valid drivers’ license (Code B/EB) with own transport.

WORK DESCRIPTION:

  • Detail design and engineering of new plants and of solutions to problems experienced with piping and pressurized equipment in the petrochemical field.  Design work will involve the use of various software tools and will also require the engineer to perform calculations based on first principles.

Learnership in Drawing Office Practice 2019

Qualified candidates are hereby invited to apply for a one year Learnership in Computer Aided Drawing Office Practice.

 

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • Mathematics  with a minimum of 50% (Please note that Maths Literacy will not be accepted)
  • Technical Drawings with a minimum of 50%
  • Physical Science will be an advantage

Successful candidates need to be available from January 2019
Only candidates between the ages of 19 and 25 will be considered

Preference will be given to candidates from previously disadvantaged backgrounds.
