Pieter is the Managing Director and a founding member of MegChem. As registered Professional Engineer with over 25 years of experience, Pieter has been involved in engineering detail design, technical advisory and project management services covering all project life-cycle phases. This background serves him well in his role in growing the MegChem portfolio.

Johan is a qualified Metallurgical Engineer with more than 30 years’ experience in various technical and management roles. He is responsible for SecMet – the metallurgical and welding business, Quality Management, Safety Management and maintaining the Business Management System certification.

Andre is responsible for developing new markets, specifically into Africa. He has been a board member since inception and at various stages been responsible for Mechanical Engineering, Project Management and Business development. He also serves on the SAIMechE Council.

Louis is responsible for growing the MegChem business in the Western Cape. His experience includes design, fabrication and construction, engineering management and business development. He is a board member and chairman of the Equity- and Social and Ethics Committees.

WILLEM DE KLERK
Willem is responsible for MegChem’s Piping Engineering Division. He started his career at MegChem in 2000 as an assistant engineer. He was promoted to Executive Manager in July 2016. He has extensive knowledge in piping design and engineering in the petrochemical field. Willem registered as a Professional Engineer with ECSA in 2006 and is qualified as a Piping Designer according to SANS 347.

Tertius is responsible for Mechanical, Process and Instrumentation Engineering as well as for interaction with fabricators with respect to design services. His teams provides conceptual and detail design services and support during procurement of equipment and construction. He has 30 years experience in mechanical design and construction support. He is a member of the Executive Committee and holds the portfolio of Mentorship and Continual Professional Development registration on the committee for the SAIMechE Highveld Branch.

Engela is responsible for the delivering of the administrative services to the group of companies. Her responsibilities include the delivering of all Financial, Human Resource, Information Systems, ERP system development and Document Control services.

Wessel is responsible for the MegChem Project Management Business, which include the Engineering, Project, and Construction Management, MegChem Vaal Triangle and Airport Fuel Infrastructure Business Units. His experience include metallurgical and corrosion engineering as well as multi-discipline engineering and project management.
